Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Facial applications is obtained by using a centrifuge to separate plasma that is rich in growth factors from patients' own whole blood. After drawing your blood, the blood is spun in a high-speed centrifuge to separate the plasma from the red blood cells. The PRP is then applied to your skin with the micro-needling process to stimulate the creation of new skin cells and the regeneration of damaged cells. Platelets contain substances called growth factors that activate and rejuvenate cells in the body. The concentrated platelets in PRP contain tremendous amounts of bioactive proteins, which include the growth factors PDGF and VEGF.
