      PRP FACELIFT

      PRP Facelift

The Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Facelift is a non-surgical procedure designed to improve the texture, elasticity, volume, and tone of your facial skin. It can be an effective way to improve severe wrinkles and folds.

Recently made popular by Kim Kardashian, this unique facial provides excellent results. Unlike other facial rejuvenation methods that make use of toxins, the PRP Facelift uses two naturally occurring ingredients. The first is hyaluronic acid which is a chemical normally found within the skin. This is injected as dermal filler which produces immediate plumpness to smooth out deep wrinkles and folds.

The second ingredient of the PRPFacelift lends the treatment its unconventional name. Platelet-rich plasma collected from your blood is also injected into the skin where they begin to replenish your stores of collagen. This additional step extends the results of the PRP Facelift up to 18 to 24 months and if needed, patients can get touch-ups of the dermal fillers in between.

      Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Facial

PRP Facial is different from PRP Facial or PRP Facelift, though growth factors are important and utilized in both procedures. Only our physicians trained in a specific way and using specific techniques perform PRP procedures at all our Wellness Centers.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Facial applications is obtained by using a centrifuge to separate plasma that is rich in growth factors from patients' own whole blood. After drawing your blood, the blood is spun in a high-speed centrifuge to separate the plasma from the red blood cells. The PRP is then applied to your skin with the micro-needling process to stimulate the creation of new skin cells and the regeneration of damaged cells. Platelets contain substances called growth factors that activate and rejuvenate cells in the body. The concentrated platelets in PRP contain tremendous amounts of bioactive proteins, which include the growth factors PDGF and VEGF. These growth factors initiate accelerated tissue repair and have positive effects on skin rejuvenation. The growth factors, when released, promote tissue repair, angiogenesis (capillary formation), and collagen production. The goal is to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin and the creation of new skin cells. Your skin will glow and immediately feel smoother and softer, with progressive improvements continuing for several months.

This treatment is associated with no risk of allergy or infections as we are essentially using your byproduct PRP regenerates damaged tissues stronger and faster than most traditional treatments. Our patients are ready to return to work the following day.

The benefits of PRP facial using micro-needling techniques includes:

      • Dark circles under the eyes and eye puffiness
      • Eradication of acne scars, sun damage, Stretch marks
      • Eradication of wrinkles and fine lines
      • Rosacea
      • Skin glow - formation of new blood vessels under the skin
      • Skin tightening - Acceleration of collagen production
      • Skin tone and texture improvement
      • Youthful appearance

PRP procedures are safe, with no downtime and no major side effects. The use of NSAIDs and smoking can slow the effect of PRP therapy. Patients start seeing results after 3 weeks and more noticeable effects after 2 - 3 months and continuously afterward.

How Does a PRP Facelift Work?

A PRP Facelift involves two different injections. The first is a fresh supply of hyaluronic acid in the form of a dermal filler that immediately smoothes away wrinkles. The next injection is filled with platelet-rich plasma cells that are separated from the patient's own blood. Over time, these cells stimulate the natural growth of collagen in your skin, creating a long-lasting youthful appearance.

To give our patients added comfort, we offer ice packs/gel or sublingual tablets to reduce swelling and redness or bruising that may occur.

      The PRP Facelift Process

Treatments are usually completed in under an hour. Because most of what's being injected comes from your own body, PRP Facelifts pose a minimal risk and low side effects. Patients may experience some redness, discomfort, swelling, tenderness, bruising, and lumps, but these symptoms usually go away within a couple of days. Your consultant may advise you to avoid excessive sunlight and exercise for a few days after the treatment.

How Does the PRP Facial Work?

Platelets for PRP are made from the patient's own blood. It is similar to a patient donating his or her blood before a surgical procedure. This is what the process entails.

      • First, blood is withdrawn from the patient into tubes.
      • Next, the blood is placed in a centrifuge and spun around.
      • The centrifuge process concentrates the red and white blood cells and platelets in different levels in the tubes. Blood plasma that is rich in platelets is taken out and is readied for the application process.

First, your skin is assessed and prepared for treatment. Then, anesthetic cream is placed on the face about 20 to 25 minutes before the procedure. Next, blood plasma that has gone through the PRP process is applied topically on the skin or injected in target areas. The actual procedure takes about 20 minutes to a half hour.

The treatment is suitable for individuals hoping for a gradual but noticeable improvement in their skin's fullness, texture, and tone. PRP for facial rejuvenation is an ideal treatment for patients seeking little to no downtime after treatment. The PRPFacial is used for:

      • Acne Scars
      • Enlarged Pores
      • Fine lines and wrinkles
      • Hyperpigmentation
      • Scarring
      • Slack Skin
      • Stretch Marks
      • Uneven skin tone

Improvement of skin fullness, texture, and tone can be noticeable within a few weeks of treatment. The effects of this procedure improve for 2 to 3 months and last for 1-2 years.
